Robindira Unsworth- gorgeous jewelry inspired by treasures found in Turkey and Morocco and Byzantine architecture

We just fell in love with Robindira's Unsworth's jewelry line. It is unique looking, artistically created and attainable. We love her color choices of smokey quartz, turquoise and milky quartz- some of our favorite colors. Robindira started her jewelry business in 2001 along with her husband Robert Unsworth. Her line represents a "fusion of the couple’s Northern California aesthetic combined with their appreciation for the exotic cultures of the Middle East, Asia and North Africa." Her line is contemporary and exotic a the same time.

They are known for their "long slinky layering necklaces, gold crowned pendants dangling from oxidized sterling chains and modern chandelier earrings that catch the light--all reminiscent of treasures found in a Turkish bazaar." Her rings are absolutely spectacular!

Their jewelry is handmade with care in their studio in Northern California. Their offices and design studio are decorated with "Moroccan carved wood furniture, exotic textiles, fabulous jewels, and are highlighted by high ceilings and grand windows looking out at the hills of Sonoma County." Their inspirations run "far and wide from Byzantine architecture to white washed walls covered with sun soaked jasmine." They are likely to seek their muse "from travels to the souks of Marrakech as to opening their eyes to the splendid canvas of their own garden--finding great inspiration from gazing up at the iconic vines of our ancient wisteria." They believe "in grace and that beauty is bountiful when you keep an open heart and mind." We love that!

Her jewelry has been featured in InStyle, Bazaar, Elle, The New York Times "T" Magazine, Allure, Marie Claire and Lucky, and has been featured in numerous editorial spreads as well as magazine covers including the iconic cover of The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2009. Robindira Unsworth Jewelry is also a favorite of numerous stylish woman including Jennifer Aniston, Kate Winslet, Debra Messing, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Uma Thurman, Amy Smart, Jada Pinkett Smith, Maria Bello and Camryn Manheim.

Tre glass rings- Trees for the Future

We found tre (pronounced "tray" like the French word tres for 3) rings at a show in NYC and fell in love with them. With their fun attitude, attainable price-points and dedication to the environment- they were a perfect fit for Orange and Pear. In their words, "trees are essential to the environment. They clean air, filter our water systems, provide habitat for half the world's wildlife, and much more." Simply said and so right. So every time you buy a tre accessory, they plant a tree on your behalf. How cool is that? See Trees for the Future to learn more.

Tre was started by three friends (hence the name Tre) Marisa Brown, Lillian Stern and Ulrica Lanaro. Lanaro says that she has always loved bulky cocktail rings and since her husband is from Venice, she had an appreciation for Venetian glass. These lovely rings are made in Italy and don't cost that much and make quite a fun, bold statement. They've been spotted in a bunch of great magazines and some of the best stores such as Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, Scoop, Kirna Zabete, and Fred Segal. They've also been spotted on a plenty of celebrities such as Brook Shields and Lindsay Price. We offer larger shapes such as the Anita in clear and turquoise and slightly smaller shapes such as the Nina in an awesome red and a rich amber and a really cool faceted one called Giselle in royal blue and smoke. We just love them. You gotta get your tre on!

New John Derian!

I am so thrilled with John Derian's spring designs. They just arrived and I think they represent some of his best work yet! I love the collection of plates inspired by tradition French Faience designs. They are delicate and beautiful and look great as a collection. They were featured in this month's Elle Decor. I also love his lobster top and bottom- how awesome is that? And the parrot images are rich with color and detail - they are simply delicious- odd word choice for parrots- but just look at those colors! He always has a wonderful selection sea life- I was especially taken by the adorable blowfish and sperm whale. These make wonderful wedding gifts -a gift that will be cherished and passed down for years to come. We also offer free hardware for hanging- just indicate that you want a hanger in the comment section. And there is more, just click here.
